Divine Mercy For Young Hearts
MOMM brings the splendor of the Catholic Faith to life for all ages by means of dramatic, yet reverent use of music and light centered upon the images of Jesus and Mary
Compelling music stirs young hearts as the Divine Mercy Image, crucifix, tabernacle, or Shroud of Turin photograph is slowly illuminated in the darkened church to cleverly convey the story of St. Faustina Kowalska, and her mystical experiences with Jesus, The Divine Mercy.
Each captivating presentation is a well rounded catechism delivered in a heartfelt way that makes sense, leaving a memorable impression upon all who attend. Students are told of Christ’s desire for an image to be painted to remind us of His mercy. The Passion of Christ is discussed and His wounds are pointed out on the image of the Shroud of Turin. Children are fascinated by the Shroud. Pondering the Passion reinforces understanding of the incredible love Christ has for each and thus our need to love others in return. Works, words and prayers of mercy are discussed and the program concludes with a great act of mercy, praying the Chaplet of Mercy for the sick and the dying.
Each student receives a small holy card of The Divine Mercy as they leave the event and are encouraged to share what they have learned with others. Parents, teachers and principals are consistently amazed at the attentiveness and responsiveness of the students, no matter the age of the group.
It’s not often that a program can appeal so dramatically to such a wide range of students (pre-K through 8th grade), let alone a religious one. This was excellent!![]()

Elementary Grades
Presentations are typically 60 minutes and generally given in the church, but a hall or gymnasium will work fine if need be. The format is interactive, so students have an opportunity to actively participate.
Elementary age students can be successfully addressed as one group, pre-k through 8th grade, or split between the younger and older students if desired.
Middle School
Middle school-aged children respond very well to both the elementary and the high school program. Addressing this age group separately however, does allow for more age sensitive issues to be directly addressed if this is opportune.
Life can be very confusing for adolescents. Trust in “something” is what they seek. Allow them to gain the knowledge of who The Divine Mercy is, and how He can heal and save when they put their trust in Him!
High School
There are both 60 and 90 minute options for our High School production.

Touch Me Lord is the title of this dynamic production. Constantly faced with a culture of decadence and death, it is critical that young people are exposed to the unfathomable love and mercy of God, especially in the midst of suffering.
By acquainting students with the mystical life of St. Faustina they are exposed to a spiritual reality which they are eager to learn about and want to experience, especially in their search for truth, for hope, and for healing. They are in desperate need of the merciful heart of Jesus.
Touch Me Lord begins with the basics as in Divine Mercy for Young Hearts but concludes with one of the most powerful and moving passages from St. Faustina’s diary known as the Conversation of the Merciful God with the Suffering Soul (Diary 1487).This brilliant mix moves the message from head to heart and works especially well for situations that include both students and parents.
Make the Most of MOMM’s Visit - Optional Considerations
Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament
If at all possible, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for about 10 minutes at the end of the program would be most appropriate. During this time the Chaplet of Mercy would be recited and the program would conclude with Benediction.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Consider the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. MOMM programs are a great way to prepare for this sacrament. Children are encouraged to seek Jesus in the confessional. They have the desire to do so, but not often the opportunity. Children are eager to receive this sacrament, and pastors, parents and teachers have been impressed by the number of confessions and the sincerity of the children and youth. Schools might consider having times assigned throughout the day for each grade or class to come to confession. Religious education classes might need to adjust meeting times.
Incredibly Positive Results
Teachers, principals, and parents are amazed at how attentive the children behave during the MOMM programs. Children are excited about what they learn and experience, and in turn they encourage parents to attend the subsequent presentations. Some begin to gather together to pray the Chaplet at the end of the school day or at lunch. Contact us to find out more about options for your students.
Read 'Can we Stay and Pray?' (Marian Helper Magazine, Winter 2003-04), to hear more about how MOMM touches Divine Mercy in the hearts of children.
MOMM is flexible and has lots of experience with youth so trust that the perfect presentation(s) can be planned for your mix of students and their parents too. Plan a MOMM visit that will be able to reach as many of your young students as possible, those in your Catholic school, religious education classes and youth groups.
